Switzerland is one of the largest trade centres for raw materials in the world, where thanks to a small number of highly-specialised experts, it is possible to generate massive profits  while many of the countries from which the resources are extracted remain poor – an apparently intractable contradiction. In collaboration with her musical partner Ted Gaier (Die Goldenen Zitronen), performance artist and actress Ariane Andereggen attempts to understand this ‘curse of raw materials’ by digging down into a world of rare minerals and backbreaking labour, profit pumping and bourgeois silence, tax havens and capital flight, illuminating the architectural history of the theatre’s interior in the process.
